It is with deep sadness that we announce that former member Anna Flowers has gone home to our Lord. Visitation will be held at Kemp Funeral Home & Cremation Services (2458 Evergreen Road, Southfield, MI 48075) on February 15, 2019 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm. Her funeral service will be on February 16, 2019 at Kemp Funeral Home & Cremation Services. Family hour will be at 10:00am to 11:00am and the service starting at 11:00am. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Anna's family at this difficult time.
CAMP RESTORE DONATIONS In January 2019, Camp Restore Detroit received donations from the following individuals and churches: Gary and Marcia Buchs from Colfax, Illinois; Good Shepherd Women’s Guild in Chesterfield, Michigan; and Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church in La Mesa, California. We thank them for their tremendous support for this vital ministry. DESSERT REQUEST It is not too late to sign up for a dessert donation. We will be hosting the “After Glow Luncheon” for the volunteers from all of the organizations who helped with “Gifts For All God’s Children.” The luncheon will take place here at Mt. Calvary this Friday, February 15 at 11:45 a.m. We are expecting 60 volunteers for lunch. Please contact Terrie in the church office if you can donate a dessert or help with parking lot security. The ticket cost is $29 and is payable by cash or check (payable to: MT. CALVARY). This year's featured speaker will be Gayle Sommerfeld, one of the founders of MOST Ministries (Mission Opportunities Short Term). Gayle has written a book about her experience with founding MOST, entitled "Beyond Sight". As this is not a CPH publication, advance orders will be necessary if you'd like to have a copy of her book.
