Pastor Dietrick Gladden
Pastor Dietrick Gladden began serving at Charity Lutheran Church in 2021. He was called by the Michigan District of the Lutheran Church, Missouri Synod as a Missionary-at-Large in Detroit. In addition to Charity church his ministry in Detroit includes Charity, Inc., Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church and School, and Camp Restore Detroit. Pastor Gladden brings a wealth of diverse life experiences to his ministry, including coaching and service in the U.S. Navy. This call as a Missionary-at-Large in Detroit marks a homecoming for Pastor Gladden and his wife Rebecca. For 11 years he was pastor at St. Paul Community Lutheran Church in Pontiac, Michigan. During that time more than 200 souls were baptized at St. Paul and the congregation grew by more than 150 members. Between his two Michigan calls, Pastor Gladden served four years at Trinity Cristo Rey Lutheran Church in Santa Ana, California.
Terrie Buchanan
Mrs. Terrie Buchanan has been serving as Mt. Calvary's secretary since 2004. She graduated with an Associate Degree as a Paralegal and feels God led her to serve at Mt. Calvary. Terrie has been married to Brian Buchanan for over 31 years. They have been blessed with four daughters. Terrie believes that her strong Lutheran foundation has given her a faith that helps her through some of the challenging times of today. Terrie looks forward to meeting people and sharing God's love and is excited about the opportunities God has given her.
Daryl Witte
Mr. Daryl Witte is the current Director of Music at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in Detroit and organist at St. John Lutheran Church in Detroit. Daryl graduated from Concordia Teachers College, River Forest, Illinois, in 1972, and earned his Master's in Music Education from Wayne State University in 1979. He has served as choir director and organist at various Detroit Lutheran churches. Currently he is President of the Lutheran Church Musicians Guild and has presented musical programs and lectures to audiences. Daryl and his wife Lucie, have been married for 43 years. They have been blessed with three children and six grandchildren. He loves gardening, traveling, and reading. Daryl also is on the Campers Committee for Camp Restore Detroit.
